Join Dr Valija Evalds to explore the history of Cirencester in the abbey grounds. Starting at the Roman wall, we will consider the founding and fortification of the town. Moving to the site of the medieval abbey, we’ll explore the post-Roman life of the town, the Anglo-Saxon minster church, and the activities of a medieval monastery. The walk lasts about an hour. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a rain coat! Meet at the museum.
